What information is in looking after yourself?

Registering with a GP (doctor)

If you are new to the area then you will need to register with a GP.  You can do this by going to your nearest surgery and asking to register as a new patient.  If you don’t know where the surgery is then you can phone: 01905 760 073 to get the information that you need.

If you feel ill or have had an accident and your doctors surgery is closed then you can either go to the nearest accident and emergency or ring NHS Direct for advice Tel No: 0845 46 47.  You could also try calling your doctors surgery as there may be an answer message with an out of hours number to ring.
