14-19 in Worcestershire

Worcestershire is making good progress with 14-19 developments.  The October 2008 Progress Check rated the Local Authority as Amber/Green with the following indicators rated as green: -

  • The percentage of young people achieving Level 2 by 19
  • The percentage of young people who were in receipt of free school meals at academic age 15 who attain Level 2 qualifications by the age of 19
  • The percentage of young people achieving Level 3 by 19
  • The proportion of 5 A*-Cs at GCSE or equivalent exam results, including English and Maths.

The 14-19 Partnership Board is key to the county development.14-19 Learning

The Board develops and monitors the 14-19 Plan through 6 working groups. The working groups are: -

The key to Worcestershire's success lies in the creation of 5 consortia who deliver the county plan to meet the needs of the learners in their area. The 5 consortia are: -
