Ecology Services

Ecology

Worcestershire County Council Ecology Services are provided by the Environmental Policy Team, our ecologists provide specialist in-house advice, survey and information on flora and fauna within the county to all WCC directorates.

This service contributes to our statutory obligations to biodiversity under the NERC Act (2006) and current wildlife legislation.

	NERC Act The Natural Environment and Rural Communities Act 2006
	Protected Species Information on fauna and flora within the county and details on the services provided by our in-house ecologists
	Planning Advice Introduction to planning advice provided by our in-house ecologists
	Worcestershire Habitat Inventory The WHI is a comprehensive GIS habitat and land use database.
	Wildlife Sites Find out about local wildlife sites (SWS's) and roadside verge nature reserves (RVNR'S) in Worcestershire.
	Training View a range of training opportunities provided by the Environmental Policy Team.
	Local Sites Partnership Worcestershire has a rich and diverse countryside which includes areas of international, national, county and local importance.
