Child Employment

Many children enjoy getting a part-time job,
such as waitering, shop work, paper round or working in the family
business, as well as many other types of light jobs.
The sections below provide information
regarding the law, how to obtain a work permit and advice on the
types of work a child may undertake.
Without a work permit the child is
working illegally and without insurance.
