Worcestershire Education Welfare Service

The Education Welfare service provides a range of
services relating to school attendance and child employment, which
currently include consultancy, advice, training and direct
intervention through casework.
The service and delegated powers to act as investigators on
behalf of the county council and to instigate legal proceedings
against parents and employers who fail to meet their legal
obligations.
