Worcestershire Hub Scrutiny Review
The scrutiny examined:
- The development of the Worcestershire Hub, including the shared
service
- How to make the Worcestershire Hub fit for purpose in the
future
- Differences in provision across Worcestershire, what they are
and why they exist?
- What are the gaps in provision and what are the
opportunities?
At the end of the investigation, the Task
group made recommendations on these areas:
- Clearer governance
- Consistency of performance monitoring
- Encouraging more council services to use the Hub
- Transaction costs across the Hub
- Business continuity planning
- Improving customer feedback and experience
- User friendliness of council websites and consistent IT
- Marketing of the hub brand
- Information flow between service area, hub and vice versa
- Councillor awareness and raising profile of cabinet member
portfolio
- Potential role of scrutiny in the Hub and shared service
- Dialogue with parish councils

Membership
A Scrutiny Task Group was set up to carry out
this work, which included County Councillors and a District
Councillor member from each of the six District Councils.
