Local Economy Scrutiny Review
In 2010 the Environment and Economy Overview
and Scrutiny Panel carried out a short review of what the County
Council is doing to support the local economy during the
recession.
The Panel examined:
- how the Council was addressing the impact of
the recession on local people
- whether the Council is ensuring the
right qualifications and training for potential employees for
Worcestershire's businesses
- how the Council was identifying
business sectors and needs in Worcestershire
- how the Council was marketing the
county as an attractive location for businesses
- how the Council worked with
partners, more about the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP), Local
Area Agreements (LAA) and the Star Chamber
- best practice elsewhere.
