Joint Teaching Staff CommitteeAll Members of the Council May 2011

A Joint Teaching Staff Committee has been established to provide for consultation, sharing of information or negotiation on any employee relations matter affecting teachers. The Committee is governed by a formal constitution. These meetings are not public.

Each Committee meeting is usually preceded by a meeting of the Employers' Side of the Joint Teaching Staff Committee. The Employers' Side meets to discuss the Council's position with regard to issues raised for discussion at the Joint Teaching Staff Committee meeting. This meeting is open to the public unless the matter to be discussed is confidential or exempt.

Meetings of the Employers' side of the Joint Teaching Staff Committee are open to the public and press but are not usually broadcast.

Term Dates

When it Meets

The Employers' side of the Joint Teaching Staff Committee will normally meet three times a year, on a Thursday, and in public. Unless otherwise stated the meetings will be held at 10.30 a.m.
