Joint Teaching Staff Committee
A Joint Teaching Staff Committee has been established to
provide for consultation, sharing of information or negotiation on
any employee relations matter affecting teachers. The Committee is
governed by a formal constitution. These meetings are not
public.
Each Committee meeting is usually preceded by a meeting of the
Employers' Side of the Joint Teaching Staff Committee. The
Employers' Side meets to discuss the Council's position with regard
to issues raised for discussion at the Joint Teaching Staff
Committee meeting. This meeting is open to the public unless the
matter to be discussed is confidential or exempt.
