from the council.
All schools can now access the Smarter Scooting training package
free of charge. Smarter Scooting helps children to:
- Develop their confidence and road awareness
- Enjoy their scooting whilst showing consideration to
- Travel in a fun and active way

Road Safety Education
A variety of Road Safety
education is available to pupils in Worcestershire schools as
part of Worcestershire County Council's commitment to reducing the
number of accidents involving children.
Walking with Children
It is recommended that children and young
people take at least 60 minutes moderate exercise per day.
Walking with children can incorporated
this into the day by:
- Mapping/ Walking routes to school
- Park and Stride
- Riders and Striders
- School Crossing Patrol
- Walking buses
- Walk to school week
- Walk once a week
