This picturesque picnic place is situated in the now dry moat of the original medieval Hartlebury Castle & County Museum, a possession of the Bishops of Worcester since the 9th Century.

Site Location

Hartlebury Castle, DY11 7XZ. Off the A449, 4 miles south of Kidderminster. Follow the brown and white signs tourist signs. Grid Reference: SO 8360 7124.

Why not extend your stay in the Hartlebury area and visit Worcestershire County Museum. Home to collections ranging from children's toys, archaeology and costume to craft work.

Accessibility Information

  • No dedicated parking areas for visitors with disabilities, although all parking (rolled stone) is close to site information
  • The majority of the site cannot be accessed by wheelchairs, mobility scooters or pushchairs as the only access is down some steps
