Ribbesford Circular Trail

Simply follow the 'Ribbesford Circular' symbol and direction arrows and you won't get lost.

Incorporating a tranquil part of the River Severn, attractive views, historical features and ample wildlife, this route is a real treat. Passing through the Georgian riverside town of Bewdley and the surrounding countryside, mobility vehicle (RADAR key required) and pushchair accessible gates allow an enjoyable route for all.

Habberley Valley Circular Walk

This walk is a real favourite for many, and it's not hard to see why. Long enough to blow away the cobwebs and give a healthy glow to your cheeks, yet short enough to be walked in a couple of hours. Within view of Kidderminster, yet a world away, it takes you through a peaceful variety of heath, woodland, pasture, and farm tracks, passing stunning views, a bubbling brook and ancient rock houses along your way.

Bewdley to Forest of Discovery WalkBewdley Forest Walk

Wyre Forest of Discovery is one of the largest ancient Oak woodlands in England and a haven for wildlife. This walk has been developed in partnership with the Forestry Commission. Follow the 'Wyre butterfly' symbol from the notice board at Dog Lane Car Park in Bewdley for a walk that will take you off the beaten track.

Northwick Manor Heritage Trail

Northwick Manor Heritage Trail
This circular walk starts just outside the suburbs of north Worcester and follows the scenic River Severn to the hamlet of Bevere Green. The route continues to Northwick and returns to car park via a rural trackway. Beautifully illustrated interpretation panels mark points along the route of historical and archaeological interest and provide information on the natural environment and wildlife.

Riverside walks never fail to be interesting, as rivers are havens for wildlife of all sorts and anything could drift past. Colourful narrowboats, shy waterbirds, the splash of a fish, eerie reeds as they sway in the breeze, if you stay alert all sorts of sights and sounds will delight you. These two fully waymarked walks along the River Avon will not disappoint, whatever time of year you visit. There are no stiles to negotiate on either walk.

Bewdley River and Rail Circular WalkBewdley Forest Walk

4 or 8 miles / 6 km or 13 km

Simply follow the 'Steam train on bridge' symbol and direction arrows and you won't get lost.

Take a stroll along the West side of the River Severn. Along the way you will encounter sites of special scientific interest, industrial heritage and a plethora of flora and fauna. Return to Bewdley via the Severn Valley Railway from Upper Arley Train Station. (Charges apply, please check with SVR for times and prices http://www.svr.co.uk/). Alternatively you can return to Bewdley using the path on the East side of the river, making an interesting circular walk.

Upper Arley Circular Walkarley circular walk

A 4 mile circular walk taking in tranquil river side walking, cooling tracks through ancient woodland and the opportunity to explore Britain's industrial heritage in the form of the Victoria Bridge and the Severn Valley Steam Railway.

Royal Hunters

Travel back in time from the very heart of bustling Bromsgrove to the hunting forests of the Middle Ages. The countryside around here gives a rich and vibrant picture of Royal Hunting Forests, the rise of Chartist settlements, priories, visiting kings and much more. Through three waymarked circular walks you can explore the fascinating heritage that this part of Worcestershire has to offer.

A lovely circular walk in the Teme Valley through traditional orchards, pastures and ancient woodlands with spectacular views across some of the best countryside in Worcestershire, taking in part of the Worcestershire Way.

Stourport Circular Walkstourport

This popular walk passes through the historic town of Stourport on Severn, with its Georgian buildings and waterways together with all the attractions of a seaside resort. The route takes you along canal towpaths, over a golf course, across a nature reserve and back to Stourport, along a river bank, all with many points of interest along the way.

Hanbury Circular Walk

Nestling in the heart of agricultural Worcestershire is the picturesque parish of Hanbury.  To help you explore all that this parish has to offer, Worcestershire County Council have recently developed a 6 ¾ mile circular walk.  This varied circular walk combines canal-side walking, hedge-line fields, historic buildings and parkland.

This walk guides the visitor through the heart of the Wyre Forest National Nature Reserve. The reserve is one of the largest ancient oak woodlands in England at nearly 550 hectares.

A varied walk taking in the beautiful river port town of Bewdley, the industrial heritage of the Severn Valley Railway and the beguiling story of Wassell Wood Camp. An opportunity to experience nature, landscapes and history all within a stones throw of Georgian Bewdley.

Arrow Valley Circular Trails

1, 1 ½, 2 & 2 ½ miles / 1.6, 2.4, 3.2, 4 kilometres

Do you sometimes long to find peace and fresh air in the middle of a busy town? Four varied walks invite you to explore the largest open space in Redditch. The Woodland, Meadows, Lakeside and Millers Trails all take you round a different part of Arrow Valley Country Park on easy to follow circular walks, each with a free leaflet. So whether you're in the mood for dappled woodlands, wild flower meadows, wildfowl and watersports, or a river walk with local history, the choice is yours.

Fox Trail at Ankerdine Common Picnic Place

½ mile / 0.8 kilometres

There's a strange sense of awe about the Fox Trail at Ankerdine Common Picnic Place. It's easy to feel a little puzzled, but you're not quite sure why on this mysterious trail. Although this is a fairly short route, with all its hills and turns it certainly helps to clear the lungs and the mind. More information about the Fox Trail at Ankerdine

Heather Trail at Hartlebury Common

1 mile / 1.6 kilometres

Perhaps this trail is best in summer when the heath is a carpet of mauve Heather attracting colourful butterflies and bees. Or maybe autumn when the trees are turning gold and yellow and patterned fungi clings to the bark. Some would prefer the middle of winter, with the crisp clarity of the views. But then there's spring when birds are singing, flowers are blooming and the whole heath is waking up to a new season. What a difficult choice. The Limestone Trail at Fish Hill Picnic Place

½ mile / 0.8 kilometres

This half-mile woodland walk winds up and down, round and round, like a spaghetti junction in the bold and beautiful Beech woods. Keep your eyes and ears open, and you might be lucky enough for your path to cross an owl quietly watching you perched high in a tree, or a tiny Wood Mouse scuttling quietly past underfoot. The Skylark & Rabbit Trails at Waseley Hills Country Park

½ mile & 3 miles / 0.8, 4.8 kilometres

Have you ever wondered how springs form? Or looked really closely at an ancient hedgerow? Or maybe smelt the sweet coconut scent of a gorse bush in flower? Come and investigate the countryside at close quarters in the rolling hills of North Worcestershire, with the help of the Skylark and Rabbit Trails at Waseley Hills Country Park. Woodland & Meadows Trails at Worcester Woods Country Park

½ mile / 0.8 kilometres

Nestled between the city of Worcester and the M5, you'd be forgiven for thinking these trails were rather noisy and disruptive. In actual fact they are anything but. Both walks lead you round Local Nature Reserves (part of Worcester Woods Country Park, one a woodland and the other wildflower meadows. More information about the walking Trails at Worcester Woods

Walking Trails at Kingsford Forest Park

0.3, 1.2, 1.5 & 2 miles / 0.5, 2, 2.5 & 3 kilometres

The Robin, the Coal Tit, the Nuthatch and the Woodpecker are just some of the wonderful birds you might happen upon at Kingsford Forest Park. They also happen to be the name of four waymarked self guided walks, the best way to explore a diverse habitat of beautiful mixed woodland and colourful heathland.
