New contract for SAP support
The County Council has retendered its contract for
the support and development of our SAP systems. After a
comprehensive procurement exercise that began in June last year,
Diagonal Consulting Ltd were awarded the new contract in a highly
competitive bid process. The company will work in partnership
with us, providing a cost effective and efficient SAP applications
support service.
The contract was officially signed on Tuesday, 5
April by Director of Resources Patrick Birch and David Maitland,
Business Unit Director.
Diagonal Consulting Ltd have submitted a very
competitive offering, including challenging our use of SAP so we
achieve the right business benefits, an impressive disaster
recovery system and delivering considerable savings over a
five year period.
Diagonal had previously worked with
Worcestershire through the upgrade of our SAP systems to ECC6.0
which went live on 4th August 2010 – again, this
contract was awarded to Diagonal following a very competitive
tendering exercise which saw them succeed against a large volume of
competing bids.
Patrick Birch, Director of Resources
said: "We are pleased to announce our new partnership with
Diagonal Consulting Ltd. They have an experienced team and
promising ideas which we are certain will result in a wealth of
benefits for our SAP system and the Council."
The new contractor took over support and
development of SAP on the 20th August, 2011.
