e-Tendering
Worcestershire County Council has implemented an e-Tendering
portal. This contains a list of current tender opportunities.
Organisations can also register here to receive email alerts when
new opportunities are posted on the council's website. The portal
enables tender documents to be available on the web for companies
to view and download.
e-Tendering activities include:
- Advertising tender opportunities to the business communities
on
E-Tendering Portal.
- Email notification of new opportunities.
- EAuctions
e-Procurement
E-Procurement is the electronic exchange of information between
the County Council and its suppliers and contractors from sourcing
of goods and services to payment within the procurement cycle.
e–Procurement programmed activities include:
- Electronic ordering of
goods and services
- Electronic goods
receipting
- Electronic processing of
invoices
- Purchasing cards
All suppliers will be encouraged to work with the County Council
electronically, but it is recognised some suppliers, particularly
small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and social care providers
may not have the capabilities at this time to trade electronically.
The County Council will not exclude any supplier from having a
trading relationship with the County Council because they cannot
trade electronically, but will engage with suppliers based on an
assessment of Best Value for the County Council.
