The Geographic Information System (GIS) allows Worcestershire County Council to provide a public service of map based information.  Follow any of the links below to access the GIS maps and data.  Please be patient while the GIS loads - due to the complexity of the system, it may take several seconds for the maps to be retrieved.

Parish Register
Worcestershire Record Office holds parish registers dating from the mid 16th century onwards. Our online parish register index allows you to see what registers we hold, the dates they cover, and whether they are held on microfilm at our History Centre branch for you to view.

The Warmer Worcestershire project has produced a thermal image of the county so you can see how well insulated your home is, and find out if you could be saving energy and money.
Tithes Mapping Tithes Mapping

This project provides on-line access to digitised 18th and 19th century maps in the county, together with their attached documentary evidence. Together, these transform flat maps and documents into a powerful searchable research tool.  This is a work-in-progress and not all areas have been digitised yet.
