Chief Executive Unit

The Chief Executive has overall responsibility for the running of the council.

Trish Haines Chief Executive

Trish Haines became Chief Executive of Worcestershire County Council in March 2008. Prior to that, she was Chief Executive of Reading Borough Council since 2002 and during her time there was Director of the Thames Valley Economic Partnership and a member of the National Neighbourhood Policing Board, reflecting her focus on economic development and urban renaissance in Reading, and on Safer Communities for local people.  

Trish's background is in social care, and her career has included a variety of management posts in Berkshire, Suffolk, Warwickshire and Hereford and Worcester County Council, specialising in organisational development and management of change in Social Services. During this time Trish was awarded an MBA from Henley Management College, building on her first-class honours degree from Bradford University.
