The 7th Parish Conference 25th April
2012
The conference focussed on Localism with all
Worcestershire Parish and Town Councillors and clerks being invited
to attend and contribute. Other attendees included County
Councillors and senior representatives from District and Borough
Councils invited to engage with their local councils.
Colleagues from the Worcestershire HUB
presented the findings of a review of the HUB's relationship with
Town and Parish Councils and a parish clerk fed back on her
experiences of taking part in the review. A number of
recommendations had come out of the review that they hoped would
improve the effectiveness of the relationship between the HUB and
Town and Parish Councils and would make best use of the
HUB.
Hannah Wyld, Principal Planner from WCC
gave a presentation on the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and
the future of Section 106 monies. There was a workshop on the
Localism Framework (this document outlines the County's vision for
developing Localism in Worcestershire) at which Parishes were asked
to discuss and respond to the consultation questions.
