The Joint Municipal Waste Management Strategy for Herefordshire and Worcestershire is currently under review. Please see the Strategy links to the left of this page to view the JMWMS Review details.

The Waste Management Unit is split into three inter-related teams. The Contracts Management Team are responsible for overseeing the contract to dispose of all Household Waste generated in Worcestershire, including the running of Household Waste Sites. The Waste Prevention Team promotes recycling, reuse and waste reduction initiatives such as home composting. The Pollution Control Team monitors and maintains old council-owned landfill sites around the county.
