Welcome to the Sustainability pages

Find out how we can all help create a county that is an environmentally, economically and socially sustainable place to live, work and visit.

What are we doing?

Worcestershire County Council works with organisations across the county, region and the UK to raise awareness of sustainability issues and to support initiatives within the county. We are working to realise our vision of "safe, cohesive, healthy and inclusive communities, a strong and diverse economy and a valued and cherished environment".

Worcestershire County Council's partnership work with local  businesses and residents contributes to the government's national aims and targets as detailed in the Climate Change Act 2008 and the UK Low Carbon Transition Plan. To find out more visit our 'What is WCC doing?' section.

What can you do?

Our Green Directory offers a wealth of information, advice and sources of further support to help you get involved. You can make simple changes at home and at work that will have a positive effect of your lifestyle, health and finances.

Start Living for Tomorrow! and enjoy the benefits of a sustainable lifestyle.
