About the Library
Bromsgrove Library is a busy community library. The
library offers not only books but also music CDs, stories on CD and
cassette, foreign language tapes, videos and DVDs, for adults and
children. Membership is free and open to everyone, of all
ages.
The library has 25 public computer terminals, which can be used
to access the internet, and also for Microsoft Office applications.
One terminal has Dolphin software for the visually impaired.
There is also a colour printer and a scanner attached to a
terminal. The library has a collection of reference books,
always there for consultation. A selection of daily papers
and weekly and month magazines are taken.
WiFi provision now available at Bromsgrove Library.
A vending machine provides a selection of hot drinks.
Events and Activities
- There are a number of children's events being
held in the Library over the school holidays.
- Local Studies Collection - the library holds a
collection of material on the local area, consisting books, maps,
local papers, and ephemera. This includes : The
Bromsgrove Messenger (the local paper) on microfilm from 1860
onwards
Census for 1811, 1821, 1851; full transcripts for the area for 1891
and 1901 on microfilm
Palmers' Bromsgrove Almanack 1860 - 1912; 1937 - 1945
Books are listed on the library catalogue. View the index to

- There is a Mobile Library Service
operating in the small towns and villages around
Bromsgrove. NEW ROUTES will run from 2nd
August 2010.

Exhibitions
The Library holds different exhibitions each month, displaying
local talent. The 2010 exhibition programme
is available for your information.
Readers' Group
Bromsgrove Library Readers' Group meets monthly,
on the second monday, between 6.30pm and 7.45pm. For
