New Year, New Online You at Warndon
Library
Warndon Library is hosting a drop-in week
where residents can learn more about the benefits of the internet
in helping stay healthy.
As part of the national New Year, New Online
You campaign, staff at Warndon Library, based in the Fairfield
Centre, are inviting residents to learn more about the benefits of
surfing the web, and specifically how a Government website called
NHS Choices can be of use
Residents can drop in to the Library, in
Carnforth Drive, during normal opening times from January
30th to February 4th to find out how to log
on to NHS Choices and browse the services it provides and
information it stores.
The campaign, which runs across the country
from January 23rd until February
17th, specifically focuses on three online services:
Jobseeker’s allowance (JSA) online, pension information and NHS
Choices.
Bev Pope, from Warndon Library,
said: "The internet can be an intimidating world for some
people and that lack of confidence can deny them access to a range
of online services and advice. We hope the drop-in week will help
introduce people to the NHS Choices website, which can support them
to live healthy lives."
