Got an appointment or paying a visit? Why not Park and
Ride into Worcestershire Royal Hospital?
Worcestershire County Council is reminding
residents who need to attend appointments or visit family and
friends at Worcestershire Royal Hospital that the regular Park and
Ride service can get them there stress-free.
W3 and
31C buses leave the conveniently placed Sixways depot – home of
Worcester Warriors just a couple of minutes from junction six of
the M5, the A449 and A38 – to the hospital at regular intervals
from 6.44am until 6.30pm every weekday. The journey, outgoing and
return, usually takes around ten to fifteen minutes.
Visitors taking advantage of the service can
get bargain tickets that include parking and return travel for just
£2.20 for one person, rising to no more £3.50 in total for up to
seven people.
All of the buses have low floor for easy
access making things easier for those with wheelchairs and
pushchairs. Anyone with a Blue Badge and Concessionary Travel
pass can park and travel for free after 9.30am.

Cllr John Smith OBE, Cabinet Member
for Highways and Transport, said: "Thousands of people
from across the county visit Worcestershire Royal Hospital each
week. The regular park and ride services are there to help those
make their journeys stress-free.
"I'd like to encourage anyone who hasn't yet
used the service to give it a try next time they travel to the
hospital. It's quick, convenient and reliable."
