Tenbury's first £1,000 Grand Windfall prize draws closer
Excitement is mounting as the first Tenbury
Wells Grand Windfall draw moves closer. It will take place in
Tenbury Library on Monday, February 6, at 10.30am, when the
Mayor of Tenbury Wells, Councillor Elizabeth Weston, will make the
draw. The first completed card to be picked will win the £1,000 -
and there is also a bonus prize, an iPod touch.
Tenbury's
Grand Windfall runs until the end of June. Each month there is a
top prize of £1,000 and if that winning card has at least five
green apple stickers, this winner also receives an iPod touch;
otherwise further cards will be drawn and the first with five or
more green apples will win the iPod.
Completed Loyalty Cards can be handed in at
Tenbury Library or at the Pump Rooms and entries for the first draw
close tomorrow (January 31).
Almost every business in Tenbury Wells is
taking part in the Grand Windfall Loyalty Scheme, making it easy
for shoppers to collect the 15 stickers they need to complete a
Loyalty Card and enter the draw.
Tenbury's County Councillor, Cllr Ken
Pollock, commented: "It is very encouraging to see the
enthusiasm being shown to the Windfall Scheme and I am hopeful
that, over the next few months, it will indicate the support
shoppers are showing to Tenbury at this difficult time. The County
Council will continue to do everything in its power to ease the
problems caused by the bridge refurbishment."
Phil Grove, Leader of Malvern Hills
District Council, added: "The Grand Windfall Loyalty
Scheme is one of the initiatives the Council has put in place to
bring more people into the town. I'm delighted that it is already a
hit with shoppers."
