Bargain advice from January sales event
Finditinworcestershire members received
valuable advice about encouraging and converting sales at the
latest breakfast and networking meeting – all for free.
More than 125 attendees gathered at
Worcester Warriors’ Sixways Stadium for ‘January Sales’ on Tuesday
17 January.
Finditinworcestershire’s first breakfast
and networking meeting of 2012 provided an exclusive presentation,
exhibition stands and an open networking session with some of the
county’s leading business owners, directors and senior managers,
plus a complimentary breakfast.
Jenny Long, Managing Director of Ice Blue
Marketing & Design Ltd, delivered an in-depth presentation
about sales techniques and tactics, which included advice about
modern marketing, sales conversion and generating repeat
business.
The organisers say the meeting was designed
to help the local economy by focussing on a subject that matters to
every local business.
“The sales process is a critical part of
every commercial enterprise,” said Kathryn Wagstaff, Project
Manager of Finditinworcestershire. “I’m delighted that
Finditinworcestershire could offer sales advice to local
businesses. The Finditinworcestershire network is expanding every
day, so we’re able to help more and more companies in the county to
find opportunities, win more work and contribute to a successful
local economy. Our next free breakfast and networking meeting is
open for online bookings now and we’d love to welcome more
first-time delegates.”
Members of Finditinworcestershire can book
a free place for the next breakfast and networking meeting on
Tuesday 21 February on the Finditinworcestershire website. Any
companies that haven’t signed up yet can register for free at

Finditinworcestershire breakfast meetings were one of 2011’s success stories with
an average attendance of more than 100 business people from all
areas of the county. The business-to-business initiative was
created to support the local economy and, less than a year since
its launch, has more than 1,900 members and has promoted in excess
of 320 contract opportunities worth millions of pounds.
The business portal and programme of
networking meetings was developed by Worcestershire County Council
and aims to boost the county’s economy by giving local businesses
the support and contacts they need to pitch for, and win, more and
bigger contracts – and to 'match-make' local businesses that can
trade with each other.
