Handy course for dads-to-be
Buttercup Children's Centre is offering future
fathers in Worcester city a three-week lifeline in the form of
their new 'Dads to be' course.
The Worcestershire County Council centre will
be holding classes for prospective papas in an attempt to prepare
them for their upcoming journey into fatherhood.
A wide range of topics will be covered on the
course including; the father's role in a child's life, developing a
bond with your new son or daughter and, most importantly, how to
cope with a crying baby.
Aside from focusing on the parenting side of
having a new baby, the classes will discuss how fathers can look
after themselves, and each other, during what can be a stressful
time in their lives, as well as making them aware of the wide range
of support that they will have within their own community.
They will also have the chance to talk to
fathers who have young babies so that they can get first-hand
experience of what life will be like when they bring home their new
arrivals.
