Last chance to nominate your unsung
hero.
Residents in Worcestershire are
being reminded they have just a matter of days to get
their nominations in for this year's Tryangle Awards. The closing
date is Friday February 17 to nominate any 11 to
19-year-old in the latest round of awards.
Anyone can make a nomination for the awards
and by going online www.youthworcs.org.uk/tryangle
to make your nominations you will know it has been received on
time.
The awards are now in their seventh year and
celebrate any young person whose good work, courage or achievement
would otherwise go unrecognised. This means that nominations
are welcome from anyone who is involved with young people, such as
teachers, youth workers, sports coaches and volunteers, even family
and friends can put a young person forward for an award.
So far more than 60 groups and individuals
have been nominated to receive a Tryangle Award.
Dave Evans, Worcestershire County
Council's operational manager for youth support said: “We
have had a great response so far but we want to ensure that no-one
leaves it too late to nomination their unsung hero. At this
stage the best way to make sure you get it in on time is to go
online.
“These Tryangle Awards are now a well
established event in the calendar and offers a unique chance for
people in Worcestershire to get their thinking caps on and nominate
the young person they believe most deserves to be in the Tryangle
Awards spotlight.”
