Let us know your ideas - new online suggestion scheme
from the County Council is live!
Worcestershire County Council is inviting all
residents to go online and use the new suggestions page www.worcestershire.gov.uk/suggestions
to feedback ideas for making improvements to council services and
the way they are delivered.
The new online public suggestion scheme can be
found on the council's website www.worcestershire.gov.uk/suggestions. Anyone
without access to the internet at home can get online in any one of
the Worcestershire Hubs
or at one of the
county's libraries.
This is the latest method of consulting with
residents as part of the council's BOLD (Better
Outcomes, Lean Delivery) programme in response to the financial
challenges it is facing over the next few years when it expects to
have to make at least £70 million of savings.
Listening to residents has been essential in
providing direction for the BOLD programme. Already senior officers
and councillors have undertaken a series of road shows throughout
the county to meet residents and get feedback. The public
suggestion scheme will take this further by providing a channel for
people to go online at their convenience, at any time of day and
tell the County Council what they think.
Councillor Adrian Hardman, Leader of
Worcestershire County Council said: "Listening to
residents and businesses is fundamental in setting the direction of
the next stage of the BOLD programme. You may have an idea about
how you think the County Council can improve a service or a
suggestion for saving money. If you do, please let us know via our
new public suggestion scheme. You never know how important your
idea could be to helping shape the future of the County
Council."
Councillor David Thain, Worcestershire
County Council's Cabinet Member for Transformation and Change,
said: "We don't know the solution to every problem, but we
are convinced that throughout the county, there is often someone
who does. I strongly encourage anyone who has an idea to post it on
the new online public suggestion scheme. As with all online
channels of communication, residents and businesses can access the
new page at any time to suit them."
The new online suggestion page is now live and
anyone who wants to post a suggestion should visit www.worcestershire.gov.uk/suggestions.
