Boost employment chances at Fairfield Learning
Centre
A learning centre in Worcester is aiming to
give jobseekers a boost by inviting them to enrol onto a range of
free educational courses
The Fairfield Centre in Carnforth Drive, which
is run by Worcestershire County Council's Libraries and Learning
Team, is currently running courses covering a variety of skills for
adults. They can be accessed by people just looking for a new skill
or hobby, or by those seeking an additional qualification to help
them in the search for work.
The current range of courses run until the end
of March, and include among a host of others; Art Therapy, Business
Admin Level 2, Childcare, DIY and Literacy. The majority of courses
are free and are fully accredited. Budding learners can register
today to join any of the courses starting in April .
Cllr John Campion, Worcestershire
County Council's Cabinet Member for Localism and Communities,
said: "The Fairfield Centre provides so many opportunities
for people in the area to learn a new skill, which could play a
significant role in helping boost their employment opportunities.
There are also courses available for those just looking for a new
skill or hobby and so I would urge people to have a look at what's
on offer."
