Free advice for working parents-to-be
Working parents-to-be in and around
Worcestershire are being encouraged to book a place at
Worcestershire County Council's Family Information Service advice
sessions.
The free sessions will give expecting parents
or carers information about their rights as a working parent-to-be.
They will offer advice about pregnancy at work, financial
assistance available to working parents or carers, maternity and
paternity leave and pay entitlements during this time.
Issues about returning to work and childcare
options are also areas discussed at these sessions. The next
session will be on Wednesday 8th
September at Kidderminster Library from
6:30pm until 8:30pm.
Helen Middleton, Worcestershire County
Council’s Family Information Service Team Coordinator,
said: “We have had great feedback from expectant parents and carers
who have attended these free sessions. They have left the sessions
feeling more informed about their rights as a working parent and
their choices for childcare.
“Dads have also enjoyed the sessions,
particularly the information about financial assistance.”
Those wanting to book a place on the free
information session or to find out more information can contact the
