Log on to new websites and find out more about how your local Surestart Children's Centres can help you

The County Council is encouraging families to find out about the many ways Worcestershire's Children's Centres can help them by logging on to their new individual websites packed with information.

The websites, which can be found at www.worcestershire.gov.uk/childrenscentres, include contact details for the 29 currently helping families in the county, upcoming events, the services available, information on opportunities to volunteer, what childcare is offered, copies of the latest newsletters and directions on how to find the centres.

Visitors to the websites, aimed at families with children pre-birth to five-years-old, will also find an interactive children's centre search using Google maps, advice on healthy eating, downloadable stories to read to little ones and copies of leaflets with other useful information.

As well as advice for families, the websites also offers a wealth of information for healthcare professionals who work with children's centres.

Cath Ellicott, The County Council's Children's Centres Operational Manager, said: "The websites will provide better, more up-to-date, access to information for parents and the community about the services and activities available to them at their local children's centre.

"We're delighted with the feedback we have already had from the websites and hope more, and more, people will use them."
