Weather update

The County Council's gritting team will be standing by ready to monitor the county's highways network this evening (Wednesday, February 8) as the cold spell continues and temperatures are predicted to drop to -4 overnight.

Gritting season 2012The authority's 31 vehicles will be on standby to roll out if needed but motorists are being asked to drive with caution and never assume that just because a road has been gritted it's safe to travel at normal speeds.
