From bump to baby - a guide to healthy pregnancy and
birth
From bump to
baby is a DVD for parents who are expecting a baby or are in
their first early days at home with a baby. It is split into three
sections:
Part 1 gives some basic and
helpful information and advice about having a healthy and
fulfilling pregnancy. It also looks at the support that is
available at Sure Start Children's Centres.
Part 2 looks at the different
options available during labour, including coping with the early
stages of labour at home, and provides an illustrated 'story of
birth', as well as looking at the role of the birth partner.
You can download an mp3 of the 'story of birth' for
free:
Part 3 covers information for the
first early days at home; changing a nappy, bathing a baby and
breastfeeding.
This DVD is a starting point for your questions, not a
replacement for talking to your midwife or health
visitor.
