Transport available?
There are three types of service available
Community Car Scheme
Volunteers use their own cars to provide door to door transport.
The types of journeys that can be undertaken include visits to
doctors, opticians, chiropodists, hospital appointments, or visit
friends and shopping.
Eligibility
- Elderly, disabled and/or unable to use public transport
- No access to public transport
- Residents within Worcester City and surrounding rural areas:
- Alfrick, Bransford, Broadheath, Broadwas, Cotheridge,
Doddenham, Grimley, Hallow, Holt, Kempsey, Kenswick, Knightwick,
Leigh, Little Witley, Lulsley, Martley, Norton, Powick, Rushwick,
Suckley, Spetchley,
Whittington, Wichenford.
- Maximum of 2 trips per week
Door to Door Minibus and MPV Scheme
Using wheelchair accessible minibuses and MPV, volunteers
provide door to door transport. The types of journeys undertaken
include visits to the doctors, hospital appointments, opticians,
chiropodist, day centres, shopping and
visiting friends.
Eligibility
- Elderly, disabled and/or unable to use public transport
- No access to public transport
- Residents within Worcester City and immediate rural areas
- Maximum of 2 trips per week
Minibus Hire
Wheelchair accessible vehicles available for hire weekdays,
evenings and at
weekends (subject to availability) may be provided with a
driver
Eligibility
- Driver must be over 25 years old
- Non profit making organisations (must have own Section 19
Permit when using own driver)
