 Cultural and Community Services (including libraries)

This project will deliver significant transformation across the service by reviewing opening hours, staffing levels and locations for our libraries, registration offices, records office, arts services, museums, community safety and supporting people to live independently.

 Community Model

This project will see us working with Council partners, communities and voluntary sectors to integrate services, whether by physical co-location, or by the delivery of services in a more cohesive and complimentary way.  Efficiencies will be realised through property rationalisation, staff integration, and in some cases the devolvement of part or whole services to other agencies.

 Joint Commissioning (Adult and Community Services)

The proposal is to carry out a full review of the Joint Commissioning with Health management structures to achieve efficiencies.

 Joint Commissioning (Children's Services)

This project sees the restructure and reconfiguration of the Early Intervention Grant related functions in relation to joint commissioning with Health

• Children's Centres
• Short breaks for children with disabilities
• Teenage Pregnancy
• Think Family Service
• Substance Misuse

 Worcestershire County Council Sold Services

The project is an 'enabling project' and will focus on developing business models for trading specific services with schools and other organisation e.g. Independent Schools, other Local Authorities. This will generate income for the Local Authority and keep the costs of providing services to a minimum.

 Enabling Local Delivery

This project is in place to form Local Children's Partnerships (LCPs) across the county whose purpose it is to:

•  Understand local needs and aspirations and what resources there are
•  Agree local priorities
•  Plan how to target those priorities
•  Co-ordinate the deployment of local resources
•  Commission services

 Voluntary Organisations Review

This project will review support to Voluntary Organisations through contract renegotiation and efficiency savings.
