Information for Parents
We offer a great range of different programmes for all ages at
Bishops Wood. Over forty in fact. Many schools choose to bring
their pupils every year, each time for a different programme. Yet
there is always something new to see and new activities to
experience. Set in a beautiful 70 acre woodland with wildflower
meadows, ponds and glades, our award winning sustainable buildings
and Saxon village provide inspiration and examples of how to live
sustainably.
Any visit to Bishops Wood provides a memorable experience for
pupils of all ages and abilities. It gives children the opportunity
to succeed and work in new ways. Teachers often see their pupils in
a new light and are amazed at what they can achieve. Years later,
we hear from young adults who remember their visits to Bishops Wood
and say that even one day here has stayed with them all their lives
and influenced their career choices and ways of living.
All our staff are well qualified and experienced so can provide
your children and their classes with an exciting, challenging
memorable learning experience in a safe environment.

are coming to Bishops Wood with their class, you can help them get
the most from their visit by looking at the website with them. Here
you will find out more about Bishops Wood, the programme that your
child will be coming for and how to help your child to prepare a
waste free picnic lunch to bring.
If your child's class does not already have a visit planned, do
ask us for a leaflet to pass on to your child's teacher or suggest
that their teacher visit our website to find out more about ways in
which we can support your child's learning.
