Lathe - This is a practical course where you
will learn how to cleave, shave and turn green wood using
traditional tools. Learn about the history of the pole lathe
and spend the day at your lathe creating something to take
home.

Weaving with Norah Kennedy -
Weave your own basket in beautiful colours of willow and learn some
of the history and folklore of willow and baskets. On a one day
course you can expect to complete a small round basket suitable for
fruit or vegetables.

Workshop
This weekend programme will consist of a
combination of presentations, practical exercises in the grounds of
Bishops Wood and discussions of images taken by participants.

Bow Making - A
bow is one of the oldest hunting (and fighting) tools there
is. Making your own is one of the enjoyable and satisfying
bush craft activities available here at Bishops Wood. At this
one day workshop you will:

a variety of materials including recycled materials and natural
timber
