About
Us
The Bishops Wood Centre is part of the
National Grid's Environmental Education Centre Network and is a
partnership between the National Grid, Worcestershire County
Council and Worcester College of Technology.
We aim to provide experiential
educational and training programmes which involve first hand
contact with the natural world. To help people of all ages
examine their own lives and make links between social and economic
issues. Through providing skills we aim to empower people to
participate in a sustainable society and demonstrate best practice
in sustainable management of the buildings, site, staff and
visitors.
We work with schools, local communities
and a range of partners within Worcestershire, the West Midlands
and beyond to educate for a sustainable future.
While education programmes are at the
core of our work, we also have a role to play in providing
education for a sustainable future for early years settings,
opinion formers, businesses, further and higher education
institutions and the wider community.
