Access to the HER
The database itself is not available over the internet but you
can ask us for a search of the record by visiting us, by phone
or by email.
If you would like to visit us, simply phone or email the
HER Manager to book an appointment
(opening hours and directions to the University
of Worcester Campus). We have an extensive local history
and archaeology library as well as information on specific sites
and buildings.

Search Costs
Searches requested for academic or private research are free.
However, there is a charge for commercial
enquiries. We provide information in paper and digital
formats. We also have a number of Online Resources that can
be used by themselves or in conjunction with each other and/or the
results of an HER search.

Project
Descriptions of the thirteen historic towns in the county, based on
a survey carried out by the Worcestershire Historic Environment and
Archaeological Service.

A series of downloadable PDFs describing specific periods in
Worcestershire's past, such as the English Civil War and
the Defence of Worcestershire in the Second World
War.
