Combined: HINDLIP,MARTIN HUSSINGTREE & SALWARPE PARISH COUNCIL

Under the local Government Act 1894 parish councils were created.
Prior the role of parishioners spiritual and welfare needs had been undertaken by local churches through Parochial Vestry Meetings.

From the Reform of Local Government Act 1972 the joint Parish Council of Hindlip and Martin Hussingtree was inaugurated in 1973.
Salwarpe Parish Council was amalgamated in May 2003 to form a combined Council of the three adjoining ancient parishes.

ANNUAL Meeting of the Parish Council

The ANNUAL Meeting of the Parish Council will be held at 7.30pm on Monday 21st May 2012 at Salwarpe Village Hall. Public Question Time precedes the Council Meeting at 7.30pm and residents are invited to give their views and question the Parish Council on issues on the agenda, or raise issues for further consideration at the discretion of the Chairman, after which, the Parish Council will commence its meeting. Members of the Public may not take part in the Parish Council Meeting itself.
