| To explain the option of opening a new academy in September 2009 in place of Elgar Technology College. To achieve this Elgar Technology College would close on 31 August 2009 and for the Academy to open on 1 September 2009. The new Academy would be the first of its kind in Worcestershire. As part of this change some new purpose built facilities would be provided over the period 2009-2012. A public consultation meeting is to be held at Elgar Technology College on Wednesday 11 February 2009 at 7.30pm. | Evaluation of Voluntary and Community Sector Grant Giving Process |

| The Research and Intelligence Unit has been asked to evaluate the effectiveness of the grant giving process within the new Shopping, Investing and Giving programme. As part of this evaluation we are seeking the views of a range of VCS organisations to gauge levels of awareness of the programme and how well the application process is working. |

New legislation means that all councils operating the current Leader and Cabinet model must change. We want to ensure we make the right decision about how our executive decisions are made in the future, which is why we are seeking the views of members of the public. We are keen for as many people as possible to come forward and take part in our consultation process that will contribute towards ultimately shaping how we make some of our key decisions. |
